Optimism and energy; is your cup half empty? Do you need a refill?

Optimism feeds energy. .

Your Optimism and Energy are Like a Cup of Coffee

Each morning, you get up and fill your coffee cup. Someone comes along and they drink from your cup leaving it half empty. Now you have to refill your cup.

Coffee cup draining and refillingYOUR CUP IS ALMOST EMPTY

Most days we wake refreshed and full of optimism. It’s time to get the kids ready for the day and then you get ready for work. The kids took some of your energy. Your work is now taking your energy. The work day is over and the kids are in bed. Everyone has been drinking from my cup all day and there’s not much left.

  • Little time.
  • Little energy.
  • Little money.
  • Almost out of coffee!

If we’re really lucky, there is some left over for ourselves. Now it’s time to get to work on your business.

I need a refill!

REFILLING YOUR CUP

Sometimes it feels like the pot is empty and there isn’t anything to be found. It’s important to know where to get more. What are the things that refill our cup?

Where we draw energy from is different for everyone. Some go to Church, Synagogue or Mosque to connect with like minded people who share a similar belief system. Others turn to family and friends for unconditional love. Yet others look for hope and knowledge through education and personal development. In order to find your “happy place”, you need to understand what feeds your soul. That will refill your cup.

Think about those days when the phone is just too heavy to pick up and make sales calls. Call a friend you can always count on to lift your spirits and talk to them for 10 minutes. Notice how the phone isn’t so heavy any more?

Once you have refilled your cup, your optimism returns. Your renewed optimism will give you new energy.

Make it a great day,

Barry
