People come in many different shapes, sizes, colours and along with that, different personalities.  We are all shaped by our personal history.  For some, it’s their heritage that has a great effect.  For others, it’s the environment they grew up in.  Some will break centuries long beliefs and reshape their history by changing their present.  Others will hold old beliefs and continue following the same pattern. Good vibrations are good for business!

Do you feel good vibrations?

How many times have you said to yourself “I’m just getting bad vibes” or alternatively, “I just have a really good feeling about this”.

If you have ever heard Kevin Trudeau’s Your Wish is Your Command audio series, he talks about his theory that everything around us is based on vibrations at different frequencies.  It makes sense to me that how we are feeling is a reflection of the vibrations around us.

When the people I’m surrounded by are all melancholy, I end up feeling very blue.  When that happens, I find the solution is to change the people I’m around.  Find people who are positive and sending out good vibes.  Sometimes I can actually change my mood just by being alone for awhile and playing the right music.  Changing my tune so to speak.  You will often hear tactics like this described as “finding my happy place”, commonly heard by sales people.

I have often said that you choose your day when you get up in the morning.  If you are feeling grumpy, go back to bed for a bit if you have to.  Rather than making the people around you miserable, take the time to re-tune yourself.  Play hooky if you need to! We often hear this called a mental health day.

Sending good vibrations.

A smile sends good vibrations!Your business depends on it!  Good vibrations are good for business.  Have you ever heard the expression “Put a smile in your voice”?  When you answer the phone and put a smile on your face, it transfers to your voice.  The resonance changes (vibrations) and people will have a much more positive response.

Think about the times you have called into customer service, how did you react to the person on the other end?  How did they react to your voice?  When I’m “pleasant” the person on the other end is far more likely to be pleasant back and likely to find common ground to work from.  Abruptness leads to the inability to hear each other and ends up in neither being happy with a resolution, if you can find one.

So, when you find yourself feeling frustrated and angry, take a look at yourself and your surroundings.  Do you need to get rid of some negativity?  Are you the one sending the bad vibes and getting back what you are sending?

In the end, it’s all up to you.  Either change your own vibrations or change the tune by changing the environment.  Sometimes your best friend can be your worst enemy and you just need to take a break.  These are tough choices but we need to remember, good vibrations are good for business!

NETWORK MARKETING RELATIONSHIPS

Relationships are critical in all areas of our lives. With:

  • spouses or significant others.
  • our children.
  • co-workers and bosses in the workplace.
  • our partners in business.

Network marketing is all about relationships with the people we come into contact.  We are tired of being a number in the standard marketing world.  Everything is targeted to specific demographics, colour, race etc.  In network marketing, we are making a choice to deal with people we know, like and trust.  First, there is a relationship and then we consider the product or service.

HOW DO WE BUILD RELATIONSHIPS?

Make new friends.We have all heard of the three foot rule.  When someone is standing within three feet of you, start a conversation.  Learn about the person you are speaking with.  If, and only if, there is a clear need for your product or service, do you even mention your business.  “You know, I may be able to help you with that….” and then suggest that you meet discuss how you can help.  Then, let it go.  Focus on making the connection, don’t sell!  Make yourself attractive so that they will want to spend more time with you.

Attend networking and social events.  Make friends without expectation but don’t be afraid to offer assistance when there is a clear and specific need that you can help with.  Focus on the relationship, not the sale.  You might even want to try your hand at blogging or webinars to give people a chance to get to know, like and trust you!

Network marketing is like dating.  The more you put yourself out there, the more likely you will find a match.  This also means you will face a lot of rejection before you find your successes.  In order to get a date, you will ask at least 10 people out.  That’s why most of us have a hard time finding dates, let alone a life partner.  We won’t do the ask.  Ask and thou shalt receive!  Even the bible says so.

Now it’s time to get out there and ask for a “date”.  Make new friends and then help them.  Don’t sell to them.
