“Personal branding is as easy as 1-2-3” …
Imagine Branding Yourself And Loving Every Minute Of It
Keep it Simple
Working on the internet, I make it a point to watch and see how people are branding themselves. To often, I am finding they are branding themselves to a particular company. What will happens when that company is no longer around or you decide to leave the company? You will have to start the branding process all over.
Another mistake I’ve seen is people pretending to be someone they are not. They belief they have to be something better then themselves to please others. If it does not feel comfortable, then don’t do it.
Why not brand yourself. People are looking to work with people they like, know and trust. How can anyone trust you if you present to be someone else?
I’m going to direct you to a great article by William Arruda from Forbes.com. In it you’ll find a great source of information on personal branding basics to advancing your career.
To build a strong brand, you too must focus on authenticity – who you really are. Branding is not spin, and it’s not packaging (though packaging is a component). Strong brands are uncovered – not created.
Branding Your Message
Branding is simply sharing your story. To create an emotional connection with your audience by sharing on social media sites. This is where you put yourself out of your comfort zone and let people into your world.
