Try to make the quotes relevant to your primary audience. Just use Google to find some quotes in all different categories and get busy!

People also love to give an opinion and that is one reason why asking questions is a powerful way to create engagement and interaction with your audience.
Make them lighthearted and thought provoking. Have fun with them. Keep them short. Multiple choice works, too, and can get everyone else reading along, keeping track or the most popular answer.

Tips and Tricks

What have you learned or recently discovered; some bit of knowledge you didn’t know before? Share these! And, like quotes, the topics are limitless. Be Careful What You Say After The word “I”

Be Careful What You Say After The word “I”

Have you ever said any of the following:

I am no good.

I stink at Math.

I don’t have enough money.

I am not very smart.

I don’t think I could do that.

I am a failure.brain

Most of us have said or thought something similar to this at one time or another. Perhaps you you say these things on a regular basis.

Many times we say thing kind of sentences in a halfhearted, joking kind of way but please BE CAREFUL!

The mind is a powerful thing and it is a proven fact that what you say…what you feed your mind will actually happen to you over time. Many times they are called “I Am” statements and it works both ways.

Tell your mind that you are no good, broke, and a failure and you start to believe it. Not only do you believe it but you manifest it in your life.

Tell your mind that you are successful, a kind person, wealthy and smart and guess what…

You CAN become any of these things because your mind will believe it and you will start manifesting the positive in your life.

Here is the problem though…

It’s easier to focus on the negative than the positive. So you have to work harder to make the positive happen.

Part of working harder is writing our “I Am” statements down and reviewing them on a daily basis. Post them on the mirror in your bathroom so you see them every morning. Post them next to your computer so you see them constantly and actually verbally recite them.

Make sure you write your “I Am” statements in present tense….

For example don’t say…

“I am going to be wealthy”

This tells your mind that you are NOT wealthy yet.

Instead say…

“I am wealthy and never have to worry about money and bills”

So take a few moments and write your “I Am” statements right now.

Here are a few of mine I’d like to share…

“I am a happy and loving person.”

“I am a good role model to family and friends.”

“I am wealthy and use the wealth to serve others.”

“I am helping others to achieve what I have by starting a home business and helping them break out of the Rat Race”

…those are just a few of mine

So again be very CAREFUL what you say after the word “I”…most likely it will come true… both good or bad.

People Are Good At Heart

Today I thought I was just share this inspiring video with you.

You know sometimes we fill out minds with negative news. I mean we can’t help it right? Go take a look at CNN or any news channel and 98% of the news is negative. Negativity fills the worlds mind these days.boyfootball

But every once in a while you see a story like this that uplifts and inspires you to do better. If you are feeling down, stories like these help you realize that maybe your life isn’t as bad as you think.

My question for you today is… “What are you doing to inspire others?” Are you focused only on you or are you looking for opportunities to help others.

Here is an interesting thing I’ve learned about success in life…

Most of the people who I know that are successful in life…the ones that have money, friends and are happy…usually get there because they helped others to be successful. I’m talking about the ones who are TRULY happy.

Think about it.

Help others to be successful and a by-product is you become successful. It’s the opposite of how most people think it works.

So today I challenge you to help somebody. Pick one or two people and help them become better. Maybe it’s an act of physical service, a kind gesture of love like a card or flowers. Perhaps it’s helping someone on your team with their home business become financially free? There are many things we can do to help others.

People ARE good at heart. Yes you may have to work at it and put away the things YOU want all the time. But in the end you will be a more happy person for it.

FOCUS Leads To Success

Imagine that you get into your car to drive to the store. You get in, make sure you have enough gas and that the tires are all good. You cautiously back out of your driveway and start driving.focuss

While you are driving you turn on the radio and hear your favorite song and start jamming out. Then you get a text message and of course you know it’s not safe to check it but you do it anyway. Then your brother calls you wanting to talk about the plans for next Saturday. You don’t have a headset on so you are driving one handed right now.

Then someone cuts you off and you have to swerve around them to avoid an accident. JERK! You feel like yelling at them but you hold your temper….but you continue with your phone call…then you get another call and you tell him to hold on…this time it’s your friend giving you the latest gossip on what is happening at her work!

The song changes and you hate it….so you start fumbling for the controls to switch the station…then you remember your brother was on the other line.

As you do all of this…you didn’t even notice that you missed your exit for the store about 2 miles back! You get ready to turn around and realize that you have a flat tire and you are stuck out in the middle of nowhere!

Has that ever happened to you? You had every intention to get to your destination but ended up missing it and ended up someplace else?

In almost all cases you lacked FOCUS.

Let’s take the example and look at your home business.

Are you where you want to be? Have you reached all your goals or do you feel like you are spinning your wheels?

Perhaps you lack FOCUS! Don’t worry this happens to all of us.

Here are 5 things you can do to make sure you FOCUS on your home business:

1. Schedule 1 to 2 hours every day to work on your business. If you don’t schedule it…most likely it won’t happen. You may have to sacrifice things like TV time and other time wasters to make it happen.

2. Work on your business the same time every day. This way you get into a habit and it will become easier for you to make it happen.

3. Have a daily “Method Of Operation” so you know exactly what you are supposed to be working on. For example, Writing a blog post, submitting it to social media sites, Inviting people to check out your opportunity, Following-up with prospects. Get very specific on what you will be doing. Create a checklist so you can track your progress.

4. Close out the distractions! If you use Facebook as part of your marketing…do your tasks and then CLOSE it. Same with your email. Focus on the one task and then close it down so you are not tempted to get into time-wasting activities. Instant messaging with your friends, watching cat videos on Youtube and just general web surfing doesn’t do anything for your business.

5. Focus on the RIGHT activities that will bring you sales! If it’s not something that will eventually bring you or your team new customers, recruits and sales it’s not worth doing. Organizing your desk, Trying to create your own training or system (if you already have one) is not a productive activity. If you have a marketing system to follow you should be introducing people to it and teaching others to do the same. Focus on the income producing activities.

Lack of focus is one of the top reasons people fail at their home business.

Take action and FOCUS and you WILL have SUCCESS!

What 85 Percent Of Everyone Really Wants

Do a little experiment for me. Ask 20 people this question…

“If you could Have, Be or Do anything In your life right now…what would that be?”

Chances are their response will have to do with one of these two topics…women-thinking2

1. More Time

2. More Money

In fact it will be 85% or higher if you calculate it.

Usually you will here responses like…

“I would like to travel to Europe or some exotic place someday.” – This requires both money and time.

“I would like to spend more time with my family and friends.” – This requires Time and usually more money

“I would like to work with my church or charitable organization to do….” – Again time and money

“I would like to quit or change jobs…” – Usually needing more money

These two things are not the only things in life that people want, but it ranks up there pretty darn high.

So if so many people want this, why don’t more people do something about it? Well actually they do. They may not have a big red button on their forehead saying this…but more people do (or want to) take action.

The truth is almost everyone at some point desires these things and at different points in their life they do or at least they try. Maybe they start looking for a better job, or start a home business or try to adjust their schedules in life to make these things work better.

Here is one problem though…

Usually to get more money, one has to work more…therefore the act of increasing an income actually takes away from the whole “More Time” part of the question.

It can be a vicious cycle.

There is really only one answer to this problem…

Work smarter… not harder!

Ok ok…so yes you have to work hard but choose something that will bring in a longer term income…something that you works for you while you are not working.

Here are a few things that let you do that…

1. Real Estate Investing

2. Stock Investing

3. Internet / Network Marketing

There are more but these are three of the most popular. #1 and #2 usually take a lot of money, knowledge and a bit of luck…

#3… Internet / Network Marketing is a different story. It’s something that is a lot easier to start. In fact thousands of people everyday decide to start a home business… many right on the Internet from the comfort of their home. The Internet has changed our world and has really unlocked a real gem when it comes to getting more TIME and MONEY.

So now that we know 85% of everyone want’s more TIME and more MONEY there is no question that almost everyone walking around you is looking for something better and are very eager to check out something that works.

What Do You Do When You Want To Quit?

Have you ever wanted to quit something?

I’m sure you have…most everyone as some point in life feels like throwing in the towel when something gets hard or frustrating. It’s common nature to want to do so. I mean look at our society…

Think about how many people stick with their New Years resolution of losing weight or going to the gym???????

What about a Home Business. How many people do you know who have started a business end up quitting because they feel it’s hard or they get discouraged? It’s higher then you would think. At the end of the day…it’s not necessary the business that is the problem…it’s usually our human tendency to get discouraged or let outside factors get us down that makes us want to quit.

So what can you do when YOU feel like quitting your Home Business? Here are a few things I recommend:

1. Look at others who are successful in your business and emulate what they do. Usually you will find that these people have been at it for more than just a few weeks or months. Most of them years. I guarantee you that they wanted to quit during that time! But they stuck with it because they knew to be successful at anything in live it takes consistent effort and time.

2. You have to have a BIG WHY. The reason you are doing your business has got to motivate you so you won’t quit. Sometimes you hear people say…”You need to have a Why that makes you cry.” Maybe you want to get out of the corporate Rat Race. Maybe you want to be a stay-at-home Mom or Dad. Maybe you want to volunteer and change lives? You have to have something that motivates you to stay with what you are doing.

3. Ignore the naysayers and eliminate negative people in your life. Believe it or not, some of the people that are closest to us can be our worst critics. If you are surrounded by negativity, reduce the amount of time you spend with those people and find new people that are positive to be with.

4. Read positive, uplifting books that will help you grow. Work on your Personal Development. There are hundreds and hundreds of books and audios out there that can help you…take advantage of these and make it part of your daily routine.

5. And last the most important…. TAKE MASSIVE ACTION in your business! You see when when you take action, you will have positive results which lead to success…which causes you to want to take more action which in turn leads to more success! See how that works?

Hey everyone wants to quit at one time or another…it’s just natural to want to do so. If you REALLY want to reach your goals though you can’t quit. Stick with your business for a long time and with the right activity you will achieve everything you ever hoped for.

The real reason people say this is that inside they feel as if they will not be successful at a home business. You see no matter what the start-up costs for a business…and ALL businesses have start-up costs….people have one thing on their mind.

Can I do it!

Most people initially self-doubt themselves. They are not sure they can do it. So how can you help someone to understand that they CAN do a home business?

First… it starts with showing them examples of real people just like them who have become successful in a home business. Let them hear the stories and see the success of others.

Second…show them something THEY CAN DO. Give them a system. Something so simple that a 5th grader could do it.

Once you an answer these 2 questions, people will almost always find the money to get started….no matter if it’s $40 to $4,000.

If people want something bad enough, they will usually be able to come up with the business start-up costs.

The great thing about the Internet is you can get started in a business for a low as $40 these days! Think about traditional businesses… to start a franchise it may costs you $500,000 and then MAYBE in a 2 to 5 years you might make a profit!

With an Internet business you can get started with very low start-up costs and the sky is the limit!

How The Slight Edge Can Change Your Life

Have you heard about “The Slight Edge”?

This is the principle that small things we do in our life (both good or bad)…done over a long time can lead to monumental change. There is a great book by Jeff Olson called “The Slight Edge” that I highly recommend you read but let me give you a few real life examples to explain.compas

Earlier this year one of my mentors decided he wanted to lose some weight… in fact it was January 1st when about 99% of the rest of us want to as well!

Instead of doing the usually diet or joining a gym, he decided to use “The Slight Edge”.

Here is what he did…

You see with the slight edge, the small choices you make in your everyday life really do add up over time. So the basics of losing weight are to change your diet…change what you are putting into your body. Where most people fail is they try to go cold turkey and do drastic changes.

Instead he decided to make “Slight Edge” changes. Instead of bacon for breakfast, he had turkey bacon. Instead of cold cereal he had oatmeal. Instead of eating two eggs for breakfast he had one. Instead of a large glass of orange juice, he had water and ate a whole orange.

At lunch time if he had to eat fast food, he would try to go to Subway or a place that had better options. He would get a 6 inch sandwich instead a 12 inch, and would leave the cheese off and choose a low-fat dressing.

He would make sure that if he had a snack he had a healthy option. Less butter on his popcorn, more water instead of soda.

He started exercising and started with just a mere 5 minutes a day…just a quick swim in his pool.

All of these choices were very simple to make, didn’t take a whole lot of effort and to many may seam inconsequential…. but added up over time can make HUGE differences.

His results?

Within 6 months he lost 35lbs! He was eating healthy food and he liked it! He could now swim 30 minutes without stopping!

So what do we learn here?

1. Small choices do make a difference

2. It takes time to see the results… months even years sometimes!

Let’s look at another example.

Say you are tired of your job and you are stuck in the “Rat Race” and you want a change.

Do you do what most people do, find some opportunity…try it for a week or a month and then quit because you are not making 10K a month yet? Believe it or not it sounds silly when I say it like that but that is EXACTLY the trap that many people fall into.

If they only understood the power of “The Slight Edge” they could reach those income goals and have everything they ever wanted in life.

To practice the “Slight Edge” in a home business one needs to apply consistent activity (the right activity I might add) over a sustained period of time to have incredible results. I’m not talking about working an extra 10 hours a day.

I’m talking 30 to 60 minutes a day…time that most people spend watching TV and wasting time…instead apply that time with small consistent business growing activities and do it for a sustained period of time….2 to 4 years.

That is the formula for long term success. That is the formula that allows a person to walk away from the day job and start a new life.

What better place to turn than the Internet?

It allows you to maximize that time and your reach and influence. It’s a perfect companion for those wanting to take advantage of “The Slight Edge”.

Escaping The Corporate Cubicle

Have you ever felt like you were trapped?

Trapped in the corporate cubicle…trapped in a job you may not enjoy…trapped doing something that consumes your life and is not getting you to your goals?

One of mentors shared this story recently….freedom

“I worked in corporate consulting in a forty-five story office building in New York City. I thought I had it made. I worked 60 hours a week, got 15 days of vacation a year and had a nice manager title, nice benefits and great people I worked with…

…but I felt trapped. I felt like the goals I really wanted in life were slipping away as I worked my tail off each week in the cubicle.

I had an aha-moment the day I shared my dream with one of my corporate mentors, who patted me on the shoulder and said: ‘The only security you will ever have in life is what you create for yourself’.

Reflecting on his powerful comment as I walked back to my cubicle, I understood that to achieve what I wanted long term, I had to prepare and condition myself mentally and emotionally, toughen up my belief and confidence, and bullet-proof my vision with the right skill sets and action steps for this new business and life direction.”

So how do you escape the corporate cubicle?

It all starts with a desire like my mentor above.

Then it takes ACTION.

You actually have to make a plan to get yourself out of that Rat Race and follow up with it.

Here is a list of some of the things you should have on your “Action Plan”

  1. Find an opportunity or business that you are going to start. Do your research and make sure that it is something you will enjoy doing but not only that…something that actually makes money. Too many times people embark on opportunities because it sounds fun…but they soon find the financial rewards were not as great as they thought in the beginning.Look at other successful people in that opportunity and find out what they are doing and how much they are making and importantly what they had to do to get there. Not all opportunities are equal. Pick one that is growing and will give you the opportunity to rise up with it.
  2. Create a business plan. Put realistic goals and expectations. You are in this for the long run. With a good opportunity it may take you a few years or more to get to the point where you can quit that job forever…but realize when you do YOU ARE FREE! So make a long-term business plan. People who fail, usually don’t have a business plan and they think success should be instant.
  3. Fill your mind with POSITIVE information and teachings. Read Thank and Grow Rich and As a Man Thinketh. Listen to the teachings of Wayne Dyer, Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Earl Nightengale, Denis Waitley, and Dale Carnegie to name a few. Let them become your coaches and mentors.
  4. TAKE MASSIVE ACTION! Decide what you want to do and GO FOR IT! Find the time in your life even if you are super busy. Work on your new business during your lunch hour, early in the morning, late at night. Find the time. You can do it because you know the rewards will be worth it.A few years of time sacrifice will be worth it when you break out of the cubicle and live a life of freedom!

It is very possible to reach your goals and escape the Rat Race if you really want it. Sure there will be bumps in the road and it may not always turn out exactly like you wanted and you may have to change courses a few time.

…but if you stay the course, work hard, and never quit… You will be rewarded.

Remember the day you walk away from your job and are carrying your box of personal items out to your car…not because you were fired or laid off…

…but because you QUIT!

(Don’t forget to have someone take pictures of you with your box of stuff as you walk to your car…it will be part of your story!)

Creating a Visual for Success In Your Business

Track your actions – have you heard this before? It’s so important because if you don’t do this, how else can you look back and see what works and what doesn’t? How else can you check to see why your business is growing or not growing? success-arrow

Are you aware of how important visual clues and reminders can be for your success? Seeing is believing and having these visual clues also help keep you task oriented toward success.

Here are some simple steps to begin developing a habit and a tracking process to move you to success!

First, commit yourself to a “30 in 30” challenge. This just means you are going to share your business and offer with 30 people over the next 30 days. It’s not important that it be one a day, just that it’s 30. There are many ways to do this. Maybe you are getting together with a group of people to share what you are doing, and you have 6 guests there. (That is GREAT time leverage, by the way!)

You can count this as 6 business exposures!

Get a simple white posterboard and draw 30 squares on it, almost like a calendar and for sure like a grid. Now, you are simply going to write in names/dates in each square as you share your business with those on your written list.

Over the course of 30 days, you will be able to track and very simply see your activities, which over time, will create lasting results in your business.

Step the pace up a little by committing to 60 business exposures in the next 30 days. The more eyeballs you get in front of your business, the more it will grow.

Massive action equals massive results and a thriving, growing business!
