Work Hard . . . But Have Fun, Too!

One of the best things for me about the business I have
ID-100105290
from home is that I have FUN with this business.

 

I have fun with the product! I have fun talking to people about it! I have fun making an income this way!


Sure beats dressing up and going to an office each day!


Let’s face it – it’s a volunteer business and no one
is holding a gun to your head, right?

You can make the choice
each day how much or how little time you are going to
put into your business.


You can make the choice about whether or not to enjoy

the journey to the success you desire.


You can decide whether or not to have FUN with your

business.


And, let’s face it – people prefer to be around those who ARE

fun and you are HAVING fun, right?


So, set some FUN strategies for your business –


Set some happy goals – these are goals that bring a smile

to your face!


Laugh – it is the music of the soul. Light your favorite candle

and LAUGH out loud. Isn’t it fun?


Remember that if you want to BE happy, you have to

think happy!

Make a list of 10 things you can do to bring more fun to your
business. Don’t wait! Make that list right now.

Get out a piece of
paper and pen and number 1 through 10 and write down 10 fun things
you will do THIS week in your business.  Then put them into action!

People will see you having fun, they will sense it, and they will want to know more
about it. When you are having fun with your business
you are MUCH more successful.


When you are having fun with your business it shows…and GROWS!

3 Keys To Success In Your Business

Struggling in Your Business?  Where is Your Focus?

If you are struggling in your MLM business it could be that you are
missing something in the 3 keys that it takes to be successful.

It’s a simple system of business as long as you stick to the basics
and don’t complicate it.

Let’s cover the 3 keys –


Key # 1 – Belief


Belief in the company and products is simple and can be developed

with a few simple steps. Learn the company story and get to know
the management team; their background, vision and focus. Replace
every single product in your home with products offered by your
company.


Belief in the system of network marketing is done through

education. Ask your upline for five books that you can read to
educate yourself on how network marketing works. Learn your
compensation plan and study the success stories of others in your
company and in the industry. You must know that if any other person
can be successful, then you can, too.


Believe in yourself!


Key #2 – Marketing


Marketing is the second key to success
. Your business will go

nowhere if no one knows it exists. Decide on the number of contacts
you will make each day and then be committed to seeing the job
through.

There are many ways you can accomplish this. Your Warm

Marketing list; joining your chamber of commerce and business
networking groups; purchase pre-screened leads; and joining online
social and networking sites are all ideas of ways to advertise your
business. You don’t need to do them all. Pick two or three to get
you started and grow your efforts from there.


Key #3 – Training and Duplication


As you find people who want to join you in business (and you will

if you are consistently marketing it) you’ll want to train and
duplicate the process. It really comes down to the first two keys
above. Train your new distributors on developing belief in the
company, products, system of networking marketing and themselves.


Explain the different ways of marketing and show each one what you

do specifically so there is a “roadmap” in place. Be there to coach
and support, and then teach them how to train and duplicate as they
bring people onto the team.


So Remember. . . If you find yourself struggling,
get back to the basics and
FOCUS on these 3 Keys to Success!

Simple Success Principles – Part 5

Truly Dedicated?  Or Just Trying?


This is Part 5 of a 6 Part Series. Did you miss Parts 1-3?

As mentioned in Parts 1-4, there are certain core principles, regardless of the profession or course of action, that have proven to create success when followed.


Other skill sets may need to be developed, but sticking with these solid principles will lend to your success.


Use these as guideposts in your own success journey and check in on them regularly and ask yourself – “Am I following these principles on a daily basis?”.


These principles are:

– Show Up Daily
– Be Consistent
– Control Your Attitude
– Have a Non-Negotiable, Burning Desire
– Be Willing to Pay the Price
– Have Faith


In this post, we’re going to focus on the need to Be Willing To Pay the Price.

Be Willing to Pay the Price – The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.


It’s easy to stay motivated and driven in the good times.  But what about when the going gets tough?  Are you willing to stick it out?  Are you truly dedicated to creating success?  Or are you just “trying”? 

Top achievers will always find a way to show up, to work through the issues, and to embrace the daily practice that is required to achieve their goals.  Their ability to do the work when it’s not easy, is what separates the achievers from the dreamers. That’s the difference between professionals and amateurs.

It’s the ability to work, when the work isn’t easy, that makes the difference.


Give yourself time. This is not the lottery. Anything worth having is worth working for.


Take some time to listen to entrepreneurs from all walks of life and much of their story is the same – idea, work, struggle, failure, work, failure, and then ultimately success. If you just stick with something long enough, you will have success.

Results come last, after putting in the time and sweat equity.
If this were not the case, everyone would be rich and successful…and thin, right?

There is a price to be paid for every success, and it is so worth it.

Do You Have “IT”?

In this post, we’re going to focus on the need for a Non-Negotiable, Burning Desire

Do you have the “IT”? 
“IT” being the non-negotiable, burning desire to achieve and create success?

It’s one thing to be extremely talented in whatever it is you are pursuing; Destiny quote
and it is another to have a deep, burning desire.


I’ll take the person with the deep desire any day. They just don’t quit!

Great example here:  You may recall the movie “Rudy” about the Notre Dame football player who walked on, tried out, and ultimately made the team, and went on to play a pivotal role in a championship game.

He overcame extreme challenges because of his goal and desire.

Does that mean he never felt like quitting? Sure he did, and in fact, he did quit the team once when he wasn’t on the roster to dress out for game day. But, a solid mentor chastised him and got him back on track.

So what can you do during those times when you feel like quitting?

First, NEVER quit on a bad day! 
Focus on finding something positive, even in the worst situations. Failures and roadblocks are the lessons we need to learn to have success.

Find a Mentor
Seek out people who have walked your path. Success leaves clues and mentors can help you through the rough times. . . and help you celebrate your successes!

Mastermind With Others
Find a group of people you trust to consult with.  Peers that may be traveling the same journey as you.  It’s a great way to share ideas and get support when you need it.


So, Do You Have “IT”?  Then get to work and EXPECT SUCCESS!

Being Consistent Counts!

Being Consistent – is much like showing up, it sounds simple enough.Consistent

And yet, many people can fall into the trap of thinking they are working on their business, when really they are just playing the game.

Let’s use an online/internet based business as an example.  Some may “feel” as if they have “worked” all day, just because they have been sitting at the computer for hours.  But if they haven’t focused on consistently “doing” certain actions that will generate them leads and sales for their business, they won’t have success.

Their “money making activities” might include; blogging, marketing their content, engaging with real people in social media and building trust and relationships. These are the action items they need to focus on to build their business.

Consistency, over a period of time, will bring results.

Don’t fall into the trap of looking at each days results and measuring your success on that. 
You need to measure your results over a period of time.

Success doesn’t happen overnight.  It happens over a period of time.
Planting a seed and watching it grow is a great analogy for this.

If you planted a seed today, and only watered it say, once a month and only occasionally gave it sunshine, it wouldn’t  grow too much, would it?  And if it was a fruit or vegetable plant, it probably wouldn’t yield much either.

However, let’s take that same plant.  You water it and provide sunshine consistently.  Maybe you even give it some “extras” like fertilizer and plant food.  You won’t have fruit or vegetables overnight, but after time, you will have a bountiful harvest!

Following the Simple Success Principle of Consistency,
YOU can also produce a bountiful harvest in your business.

Show Up Daily – sounds simple enough, right?

After all, if you are employed in a job, in order to get paid, you have to show up. . . or you’re fired!

So why would it be different in a business of your own? ID-100151931

If the “Open” sign is not visible on the “door” for your would be customers, they will continue on and find someone else.

Award Winning Playwright Woody Allen is known for saying –
“80% of success is just showing up.”

How are you doing with this in
YOUR business?

Are you there, each day; working in. . . and on your business; doing the actionable steps that lead to success?

Before moving on to the other principles, make sure you are solid on this one.

Go back and look at your calendar for the last week, last month, last year?
Could you have done more?  Talked to more people?  Done more follow-ups?

Make some notes on areas you need to improve, and set a goal to work on those areas now.

Show Up – Be Present – Take Action!

How To Build Your Fortune. . . Part-Time

Don’t be fooled, though!
It is very possible to build a full time business with part
time effort.

I’d like to share with you some thoughts on that subject,
from one of my favorite mentors, the late Jim Rohn

“If you’ll devote, to start with, let’s say 10-15 hours a week, where you’ll start making a profit, here’s what you can now say.

“I’m working full-time on my job and part-time on my fortune because profits lead to fortune.”


I got so excited about that philosophy. I’m working full-time on my job, but now I’m working part-time on my fortune.

I’ve found a way not only to make a living, you won’t believe this, I’ve found a way to make a fortune!


Can you imagine what that’s like, then, to get up in the morning, to go to work on your fortune, not to go to work to pay the rent, which is ok, but a chance to go to work to make a fortune?

You can say, “Right now I’m working part-time on my fortune and full-time on my job, but it won’t be long until I’ll be working full-time on my fortune. Can you imagine what life is going to be like?”

Leadership and Network Marketing

What is Leadership in MLM?

What does leadership really mean in a business such as Network
Marketing and what is required to be a leader?

Who defines leadership?


If you think about leadership as having a group to lead, then to
what are you leading them. . . and for what purpose?


Leadership, and then success, comes from developing yourself. . .
and
then sharing what you’ve learned in the development of others.

In MLM, this is not a difficult task.


LEAD your team to
the TOOLS of SUCCESS.


These don’t have to be tools developed by you.
Just make sure they are tools that have
stood the test of time and have proven effective.

Start with your company and upline tools.

Get your partners involved in the team environment. Bring them
together at meetings, on conference calls, email discussions, etc.


Lead authentically, by being the REAL you and not some made up

person.

Share both your strengths and your weaknesses.

Communicate openly and honestly. You don’t have to be perfect, just be
authentic. Acknowledge mistakes and always strive to do the best
you can.

Let your leadership evolve and develop around the needs of those
you lead, and the desires you have to take on this role. Follow
your own values and lead your team along the path you have chosen
together, based on mutual values and desires.

Build Your Business With Urgency

WHY?

NOW is the perfect time to build your business and to put yourself
into massive, consistent, effective action.

Not yesterday, it’s
gone.
Not tomorrow, it never comes.
But right now, this moment in
this day.


Build your business with a sense of urgency to get things done for

your future. And, building for the future all takes place TODAY!

Let go of the “all or nothing” concept that so many of us have.

Here are some examples of what I mean. . .


If
you find yourself saying things like –


“I only have a few minutes so I shouldn’t call any leads.” WHAT?

Make ONE phone call and applaud yourself for that.

Guess what?
It’s one more
action step in your journey. You never know who might be on the
other end of the phone and what they might go on to build.


“I work full time and it’s easier for those who don’t.”

Not true!
Everyone has their own challenges to work with and for those who
work, you are out in the mix daily.  What better time to begin to
make some connections with people! Adapt a natural, fun way of
doing this.


“Only the ones who got in early reach the top.”


History has proven this to be FALSE!
The beginning is not necessarily the best time to join a company.”
In most
companies, many of the top income earners come in after the company
is solid and established, 5 years or more later.


TODAY is the day to create your future so you have so much more of

it to look forward to.

So, what steps are you capable of taking
today?
Will you make just ONE phone call?
Pass out ONE business

card?
Ask ONE person about a Home Party?
Host a Private Business
Reception? Conference Call? Suggest your products?


Begin taking YOUR first steps in your exciting personal journey
so
you can be there for the moments you hold priceless!


It is not
always EASY, but it is SO WORTH IT!  (I promise)
