Why I LOVE My Global Business?

The View is GREAT from here!
My Hong Kong View

Several months ago, my family and I began our latest adventure…

We’ve recently moved to Hong Kong, and this is the view from our new apartment.

Funny…24 years ago we were married back in Pennsylvania.

I was born and raised in a small town north of Pittsburgh.

When I was growing up I really didn’t think about living anywhere else,

let alone outside of the US!

Fast forward 24 years, and this is move #11!

We have now lived in 10 different cities, 7 different states, and 3 different countries.

It has been an incredible experience! We literally have friends in every corner of the globe, and have experienced things others only get to see in pictures and read about.

Some of the amazing things I’ve done?

Rode Elephants in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Walked a mile on the Great Wall in China

Stood at the top of Tokyo Tower in Japan…

And now I get another great opportunity to explore Hong Kong!

And you know what the best part is?

My business is truly global, and a move half-way around the globe doesn’t stop me!

This was a key reason I got involved in this wonderful profession over 5 years ago.

Maybe you can relate….

As much as I enjoyed following my husband from assignment to assignment in “the corporate world”, it made it very difficult for me to have a career. And frankly, after having a taste of my own traditional business, not only did I NOT want to be an employee, I really didn’t want the headaches of running a traditional business either.

I really didn’t think there were any other options…
until I discovered this wonderful world of
Network Marketing and the power of working and building a business using the Internet.

Ok…I’ll admit it!. Initially, I was NOT excited.
But here is the thing…I didn’t know what I didn’t know.
Let me explain…

I didn’t know that….

I could build a business from anywhere in the world, with just a computer, and a phone….

I could have a business and NOT have to lug around inventory, do home parties, and get people to buy stuff they really didn’t need….

And I didn’t need a college degree and years of work experience to have success.

(ok..let me also admit…I LOVE going to those parties…I LOVE buying the stuff…I just didn’t want to be the one selling it and doing that type of work).

All I needed to build a successful global business was the following:

1) A desire and willingness to get started.

2) A willingness to be coach-able and follow a system that has worked for others (and made them MILLIONS in the process)

3) Work hard and be consistent over time.

So I got started… And I haven’t looked back!

Since starting in my new profession over 6 years ago, I have moved twice, and I know we have more moves in our future. But I’m still working and building a successful business, from home, with a computer and a phone (and a good internet connection, too).

And you know what the best part is?
I get to help others, every day, do the same thing!

The more I learn about this industry, the more I love it!

If you have ever been curious about this “work from home” arena, and would like to learn more, I would love to share more of my experience with you!

3 Keys To Success In Your Business

Struggling in Your Business?  Where is Your Focus?

If you are struggling in your MLM business it could be that you are
missing something in the 3 keys that it takes to be successful.

It’s a simple system of business as long as you stick to the basics
and don’t complicate it.

Let’s cover the 3 keys –

Key # 1 – Belief

Belief in the company and products is simple and can be developed

with a few simple steps. Learn the company story and get to know
the management team; their background, vision and focus. Replace
every single product in your home with products offered by your
company.

Belief in the system of network marketing is done through

education. Ask your upline for five books that you can read to
educate yourself on how network marketing works. Learn your
compensation plan and study the success stories of others in your
company and in the industry. You must know that if any other person
can be successful, then you can, too.

Believe in yourself!

Key #2 – Marketing

Marketing is the second key to success
. Your business will go

nowhere if no one knows it exists. Decide on the number of contacts
you will make each day and then be committed to seeing the job
through.

There are many ways you can accomplish this. Your Warm

Marketing list; joining your chamber of commerce and business
networking groups; purchase pre-screened leads; and joining online
social and networking sites are all ideas of ways to advertise your
business. You don’t need to do them all. Pick two or three to get
you started and grow your efforts from there.

Key #3 – Training and Duplication

As you find people who want to join you in business (and you will

if you are consistently marketing it) you’ll want to train and
duplicate the process. It really comes down to the first two keys
above. Train your new distributors on developing belief in the
company, products, system of networking marketing and themselves.

Explain the different ways of marketing and show each one what you

do specifically so there is a “roadmap” in place. Be there to coach
and support, and then teach them how to train and duplicate as they
bring people onto the team.

So Remember. . . If you find yourself struggling,
get back to the basics and
FOCUS on these 3 Keys to Success!

Network Like A Pro – Tip #6

“It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives.
It’s what we do consistently.”
   ~ Anthony Robbins

One of the most powerful and productive activities in any business is networking.
Networking allows you to grow your business faster than almost any other activity.

Why? Because it gets you in front of more people in a smaller amount of time.

The bottom line is you want to become a very well connected person.

In my last post I shared about the importance of “Be a Connector” when you want to network like a “Pro”.

Today I’m going to share with you Tip #6
(part of 8 very specific networking strategies that will get you to your goals.)

My friend, mentor and colleague, Joel Peterson put this video series together,
and I know you will find it as helpful as I did!

How To Identify Your Target Market

Have you taken the time to identify just who your target market really is for your business?

Most people fail to do this and they operate under the misguided notion that everyone could be right for their business.

To really attract the right people to your business, you want to give them something that is going to provide a solution for them.

Business really is about creating win-win situations and it’s not all take-take-take!
It’s about giving value.

Giving value doesn’t mean that you pitch your deal just because you think they’ll benefit from what you’re selling (or what you are ‘sharing’).

It goes much deeper than that and you must be willing to dig for it!

You want to sponsor people into your business, right?target

So answer this question first –

“What kind of people might be interested in joining my business?”

Once you can fully answer that question you’ll be much better equipped to know what solution you can provide, and that will further the relationship.

And, you can easily ask others for referrals when you share with them exactly WHO you are looking for.

The formula to attract the right people to you, pre-sold on YOU and what you offer is right here and it’s simple.

It all starts with asking and then answering the right questions…

1. “WHO is your target market?”

2. “What kinds of things are they looking for, thinking about, and talking about?”

3. “What are some of their problems that you can help solve?”

Knowing this is the first step in attracting a continuous stream of highly interested prospects to you… effectively, confidently, while having a lot more fun.

Where To Find Business Prospects?

First…Define Your Target Market

People who might be right for your business are everywhere.
But contrary to what you may have heard, not everyone is right for your business.

If you go into the game knowing that there are many reasons why not everyone will be interested you business; you’ll save yourself a lot of grief and it will be easier to accept that a “no” has nothing to do with you.

First, let’s identify who your target market is:questionmarks

  • Current Customers

  • People who already use your type of product

  • People who have been involved in Direct Sales before

  • Retirees

  • College Students

  • People who are talking about making extra money

  • People who are well connected

  • Your warm market list of people who you know

  • Referrals from those who you know

  • People you meet while out and about

Here is the key – it is a must that you notify everyone about your products and your business, and then see who raises their hand with interest.

Your job is NOT to convince, bug or harass.

Your target market is those people who are looking for what you have.

You won’t know until you offer and ask.

Simply take the step of asking and notifying each day and you will grow a customer base and a distributor base.

Time For A Reality Check In Your Business?

Reality Check for Your Success

The potential of your business is very real and very solid. . .
But there is one catch. . . It takes time, focus and commitment.

The challenge that many people face is that they don’t match their expectations up realistically with that they are willing to put into their business and success.

So, let’s have a little fun and see if success in a business is in your destiny?

You might need a reality check if . .

  • You thought you could work this business part time, and get paid a full time income quickly.

  • You thought you could just treat your business like a hobby and roll in the dough!

  • You thought signing up was the key to success and someone else was going to build it for you.

  • You thought you could do it a better way then the ones who have already made it to the top.

  • You thought massive wealth could be created without hard work.

  • You thought you could build this business and never have to step out of your comfort zone.

  • You thought all of your friends and family would join you.

  • You thought you could just grow the business, and not work on your own personal growth!

Now, this is kind of fun, and it’s easy to laugh at it, but think about these concepts and ask yourself. . . realistically. . .

Are you guilty of thinking any of these might be true?

It takes time, sweat equity, some money invested and the right attitude and work ethic to build a lasting, successful business.

And, it is worth every minute of it, too!

Committed? . . . Or Just Trying?

Success In Any Business Requires Commitment

Building a
successful home based business is no different.Try Not-Yoda

In order to be successful, you need to decide that you are committed to the process.

Here is a list of 6 Commitments that if followed, will help you stay focused on creating, and building, a successful business:

1. Make a commitment – nothing ever really happens without the
commitment first.

When you lack commitment, you also lack focus and
drive.

It’s easy to put off until tomorrow what you can do today,
right?
Make a decision right now that you are committed and
unstoppable.

2. Determine your “why.”

Part of getting committed really starts
with knowing “WHY” you are building a business and that it is more than just “to earn some extra income” or “fire your boss.”

Get much more
specific. Dream and set goals. Create a dream board and look at it several times a day. Feel what it will be like when you are living your dream life, whatever that is.

3. Develop your story.

When you can easily share your story in a
brief, 2 minute summary about why you started with your company; what you have experienced and what you see ahead for the future, you will find it much easier to talk about your business when people ask what you do.

Spend some time writing it down; then
practice and memorize it so you don’t sound scripted.

4. Share your story as many times a day as possible.

This is all
part of contacting, inviting and presenting.

Set a goal for a
minimum number of people who you will speak to each day about your business.

5. Work with the willing.

Some people will tell you no right away;
some people will sign up and then tell you no; and some people will sign up and get busy.

Work with the ones who call you; ask for your
time and assistance; and demonstrate that they are serious about their own business and success. Don’t make the mistake of trying to drag others across the finish line.

6. Never stop growing your business and your front line.

Make sure
you schedule time in your day every day to continue working on your own sponsoring.

This is the life blood of your business. Don’t fall
into the trap of managing your team.
You are a business owner, as
is each of your team members. Don’t be a manager!

That’s pretty much it. How simple can it get?

Are You Prepared To Sponsor New Team Members?

Being Prepared to Recruit is Essential to Success

You never know when the perfect prospect will be right in front of you.

Don’t miss a chance to take action on not only pursuing your dreams, but offering a true Are you preparedgift to others in the form of your business and opportunity.

Most people in our profession never really try to recruit for fear of rejection.
Or for fear of what others think and/or fear of seeming pushy.

But remember this – recruiting is about what you have to GIVE, not what you are going to get.

Approach it with this mindset and your business will soar!

Imagine this – you can change the course of someone’s life by offering them the following:

Financial freedom
and a debt free lifestyle

Time freedom
– be your own boss and call the shots

Increased Income Potential
– the beauty in Direct Sales is that your income is in direct  proportion to what you put into it. You set your own pay.

Recognition
– people are starved for appreciation and recognition today.

New friends
, like-minded people

Personal Growth and Self-development
– this is one of the most exciting parts to our business and one that often isn’t realized until later. You truly get to see just what you are made of.

Remember this – you never know who needs what you’ve got!
