Narrowing your focus for short periods is beneficial, but if you keep it too narrow for a long time, it will not get you to your desired goal.

How are you at setting goals for yourself and how often do your review your goals?
As another month starts, I just wanted to bring this topic up, especially for those who do no more than set a New Year’s resolution each year.
These people seem to be using the “set it and forget it” method of goal attainment. Which, by the way,
does not work well!
If you truly want to achieve your goals and start living the life of your dreams, you have to remain focused on your goals daily.

Decisions are a part of every day life.
Many people avoid making concrete decisions and decide to do nothing.
But in so doing, they have actually made the decision that takes them in a certain direction that may change where their life is heading.
There are different types of decision making
You can make decisions proactively and decide to do something, or be negative and decide to do nothing.
It is so much easier to say “I can’t do that” than it is to ask yourself “How can I do that?”
When you tell yourself you can’t do it, that’s all you have to do. Your job is done and you can go back to watching reruns on TV.
When you look at a mature tree, you are impressed by it’s trunk and branches.
But the true strength of any tree lies in it’s roots.
Without a strong root system no tree will survive.
This holds true for businesses as well.

People will often blame outside events for the situations they find themselves in.
They feel it is not their fault that their life didn’t turn out right, it has to be due to some outside factor or influence.
Don’t fall into this trap!

It is easy to become discouraged when things don`t go our way.
This is why most people choose this course!
The harder and wiser thing to do is to analyse what really happened and learn from our setbacks.
Once you get into the habit of analyzing instead of feeling sorry for yourself, you will have fewer setbacks to ponder.
There has to be a balance between being prepared and procrastinating.
Some people will spend way too much time “preparing” because they are afraid to actually do things.
Others will just jump in without preparing and not succeed due to lack of knowledge.
